Progressive Pacing and Steady Splits Define Performance

Starting strong, Emily maintained a controlled pace with her fastest split at mile 4 with 8:40 min/mile. Though her average pacing was 10:55 min/mile overall, its noteworthy that her mile splits ranged from a swift 4:12 at mile 3 to a more measured 17:55 at mile 2. These variations suggest an ability to recover and manage effort effectively over the course. Finishing the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest with a time of 2:23:13, Emily placed 252nd in her division, showcasing endurance and consistency as integral strengths. Although she experienced significant elevation in pacing during mile 2, her ability to run a sub-10:00 split by mile 12, at 9:54 min/mile, indicates significant progress throughout the event. Focusing on maintaining a steady pace and minimizing mid-race slowdowns could lead to an even stronger overall performance. Well done for remaining composed throughout!
