Consistent Effort with Strategic Finish William Dieter from Portland, OR represented team Purple Jaguar in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest 5K. William maintained a steady pace throughout the race, finishing with an elapsed time of 52:15 and an average pace of 16:51 min/mile. Notably, in his M55-59 division, he took 86th place. Although there was a slight decrease in his pace, particularly noticeable between mile two (17:18 min/mile) and mile three (19:00 min/mile), he demonstrated resilience and completed the race strongly. Throughout the race, William started at a promising pace of 13:51 min/mile in the first mile. A key point to consider for future races could be addressing the pace variations to achieve a more consistent pace. Evaluating training routines to manage fatigue might prevent slowing down in the latter stages. His ability to complete each segment under 20 minutes shows potential for improvement.
