Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Taka Chiba, racing in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest half marathon, showed commendable consistency throughout the race. Starting with an 8:00 min/mile pace for the first mile, he gradually improved his pace, reaching 7:42 min/mile by the third mile. His most notable split was the 13th mile, where he logged a strong 7:11 min/mile pace, indicating a powerful finish. Consistency was key, as he maintained a sub-8:00 min/mile for nearly every mile. Overall, Taka completed the race in 1:42:07, achieving an average pace of 7:47 min/mile. Within the male 30-34 division, he placed 101st out of a competitive field, with his best placement being 85th at mile 7.
