Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish In the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest presented by Toyota, Angela Lares-Benitez represented the Raza Runners well in the Half Marathon. Throughout the race, Angela demonstrated consistency with an overall elapsed pace of 9:28 min/mile. A particularly impressive performance was noted during the 13th mile, where her split pace accelerated to 8:44 min/mile, contributing to a strong finish and an overall time of 2:04:13. Angela's initial mile clocked in at 9:47 min/mile, but she encountered a slower 16:32 min/mile during the second mile. Despite this, she managed to quicken her pace afterward, maintaining splits mostly below the 10-minute mark. Notably, her placement in the Female 25-29 division showed insightful improvement as she advanced from 126th around the 5-mile mark to 107th by mile 10. Future races could see further enhancements by focusing on maintaining consistent pacing throughout. Great effort and determination!
