Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Adam Harcleroad's performance at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest was marked by steady pacing throughout the half marathon. Starting with a 9:30-minute mile, Adam maintained a consistent pace, averaging 9:13 minutes per mile over the initial miles. Notably, there was a slight dip in pace during mile 7 and 8, clocking in at 9:46 and 9:52 minutes, respectively, before quickly recovering in the subsequent segments. Adam's strong finish in the latter miles demonstrates potential for further improvement, especially with the impressive negative splits seen from mile 9 onward, notably closing with a 7:40-minute mile. Completing the course with an elapsed time of 1:57:49, he achieved an average pace of 8:59 minutes per mile. Amongst a field of over 4,400 participants, Adam commendably placed 108th in the M40-44 division. Continuing to focus on sustained pacing can facilitate even stronger results in future races.
