Mid-Race Surge and Consistent Finish Riley Williams from Portland, OR, completed the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon with a total time of 2:07:33, maintaining a steady overall pace of 9:44 min/mile. Riley started strong with a 9:59 min/mile in the first mile, then slowed slightly in the second mile, clocking in at 11:56 min/mile. However, the highlight of Riley's performance came between miles 3 and 5, where he achieved paces as fast as 7:34 and was consistently under 9:24 min/mile, recovering a significant amount of time. Throughout the race, Riley's placement fluctuated, with notable progress moving from the 2086th overall to 1718th during mile 7. Though there was a dip later on, the final mile saw a strong finish at a pace of 9:01 min/mile. Consistency was key towards the later stages of the race, maintaining an effective balance through pacing strategies. Riley's overall effort landed him 112th in the M45-49 division out of a total of 4421 participants. Great job, Riley!
