Consistent Effort with Strategic Pacing Sol Palmore exhibited solid performance at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest, with an overall time of 20:05, maintaining an average pace of 6:28 min/mile across the 5K race. Starting strong, Sol clocked the first mile at 6:07, which was the fastest segment of their run. Despite a slight decline in speed during the subsequent miles (6:39 and 6:43), Sol demonstrated consistent pacing, finishing 7th in the MUnder 15 division. Sol's pacing strategy could be refined to manage the second mile split, which saw a notable decrease in speed. This adjustment might help maintain momentum and potentially improve positioning among peers. Representing the FoPo Run Club, Sol's final standing was 60th overall out of 6521 participants. This shows competitive performance, especially notable given the field size. Working on sustaining early pace efforts in subsequent segments could further enhance results in future races.
