Strong Finish with Consistent Splits Grayson VonDracek, a 9-year-old from Oregon City, OR, showcased a solid performance in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest 5K. Running with The BeeGees team, Grayson completed the race with an elapsed time of 43:21, maintaining a consistent pace of 13:59 min/mile over the 3.1 miles. With a total of 6521 participants, Grayson placed 2091st among males and 217th in the competitive MUnder 15 division. Analyzing Grayson's splits, he started strong in the first mile clocking 13:10, and demonstrated resilience by pacing the remaining race consistently. His second mile took 15:43, the longest of the race, but he bounced back in the third mile with a pace improvement to 13:33. Encouraging Grayson to focus on maintaining an even pace between miles two and three might be beneficial going forward.
