Strong Finish with Consistent Splits Throughout the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon, Jon Down demonstrated consistent pacing, resulting in an overall elapsed time of 1:57:08, with an average pace of 8:56 min/mile. His pacing steadily improved in the latter half, with the last three miles run at 8:52, 8:19, and 8:06 min/mile. Notably, Jon's third mile split was 6:37 min/mile, illustrating his capacity for a strong acceleration at that point. Jon placed 4th in his M65-69 division out of 4421 competitors overall, exhibiting a strong performance in his age group throughout the race. Tightening his pacing in mile eight and maintaining consistency throughout the middle section of the race can potentially enhance his timing.
