Consistent Start Leads to Strong Finish Matt Greensmith maintained a consistent pace throughout the first half of the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon, ranging from 9:26 to 9:08 min/mile across the initial splits. Despite a slight slowdown towards the middle of the race, with a split pace dipping to 12:13 min/mile at mile 8, he managed to regain his earlier rhythm. Ending the race with an official time of 2:08:49, Matt averaged a solid 9:50 min/mile pace. From a statistical perspective, Matts performance was steady with a notable improvement as he closed the race. Specifically, he achieved a timely rebound with a sub-10-minute pace during the final miles. His placement within the Male 40-44 division was 160 out of a competitive field. Going forward, focusing on maintaining mid-race pacing could further enhance performance. Overall, it was a commendable race, demonstrating resilience and a strong team representation from the FoPo Run Club.
