Consistent Performance and Dominant Division Finish Eric Hartmann showcased a strong performance in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest presented by Toyota, completing the 8K with a final time of 30:50 and an impressive average pace of 6:12 min/mile. Notably, Eric secured the first place in the M55-59 division. Starting with a steady 6:25 pace in the first mile, Eric accelerated in the second mile, achieving his fastest split at 5:57 min/mile. Throughout the race, Eric maintained his momentum, characterized by fluctuations below 6:30 min/mile pace at every mile. This effort translated to improvements in his placements, with significant progress shown in overall and gender rankings, peaking in miles 2 and 4. Eric represented the Evergreen Run Club PDX, competing against a field of 5185 participants. Maintaining race pace and leveraging splits were pivotal to his successful completion and first-place division victory. Moving forward, maintaining the strong split strategy will be beneficial.
