Consistent Start, Strong Finish Joshua Wiens demonstrated a steady performance at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon, completing the 13.1-mile course in 1:58:23 with an average pace of 9:02 min/mile. He started strong, achieving his fastest pace of 8:32 min/mile during the second and third miles, a great demonstration of consistency early in the race. Notably, his finish was remarkable, as he completed the final mile in 8:36, showcasing his ability to maintain effort through the final stages. Throughout the race, Joshua managed to keep a relatively consistent pace with minor fluctuations. There was a slight slowdown during miles six and seven, where split paces increased to 9:37 and 9:25 min/mile, respectively. Identifying these sections could help in targeting specific training for potential improvement. Concluding his race, Joshua placed 1,473rd out of 4,421 total participants, and represented the FoPo Run Club with a commendable effort in the M30-34 division.
