Strong Mid-Race Recovery Boosted Standing Josh Holcomb from Portland, OR, competed in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest presented by Toyota, proudly representing the Evergreen Run Club PDX. Over the 5K course, Josh demonstrated resilience after a cautious start, achieving an overall finish time of 25:33 with an elapsed pace of 8:14 min/mile. This effort secured him the 24th position in the M45-49 division and 376th among all male participants. A standout performance during the second mile saw Josh improve his pace dramatically to 4:35 min/mile, advancing to a notable 16th place within his division. While the first mile at 12:30 min/mile was steady, increasing efficiency over the next two miles reflected in a boosted rank, especially visible in the mid-section of the race. Maintaining focused pace consistency, especially during the final stretch, will further enhance his future race results.
