Consistent Performance With a Strong Finish Taylor Hill navigated the 13.1-mile half marathon course with impressive consistency, maintaining a steady pace throughout. Notably, he averaged an overall pace of 6:21 min/mile, completing the race in 1:23:14. His performance improved over the latter miles, with a final mile split of 5:59 min/mile, demonstrating strength in the closing stages. Taylor moved from an initial place of 50th overall to as high as 33rd, finishing at 50th overall in a field of 4,421 participants. Taylor's splits often hovered around 6:21 min/mile, with a particularly strong uptick at mile 12, where he recorded a 6:02 min/mile pace. Although some mid-race pacing slightly dipped above the average, for instance, miles 8 and 9, he effectively responded in the final stretch. Suggest focusing on harnessing his strong finishing ability earlier could enhance future performances. Taylor placed 10th in his division and was the 46th male finishera commendable achievement.
