Consistent Pacing and Strong Finish Forrest Gonzales completed the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon with a total time of 1:51:28, averaging an impressive overall pace of 8:30 min/mile. Throughout the race, Forrest showed remarkable consistency, maintaining paces close to or improving upon his initial 9:14 min/mile split. Notably, he improved his pace in the latter segments, finishing strong with a 7:41 min/mile in miles 12 and 13. Forrest achieved 19th place in his M55-59 division. His most significant progression was observed late race, improving from a 9:26 min/mile at mile 8 to consistently sub-8 min/mile in the final stretch. Miles 10 to 13 were particularly strong, highlighting effective energy management throughout the race. Congratulations on an excellent pacing strategy and achieving a balanced performance across all splits. Observing how splits were progressively faster after mile 8, maintaining this pacing strategy could further enhance future results.
