Overcoming Early Challenges with a Strong Finish Andres Gonzalez completed the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon with a final time of 1:43:30, achieving an average pace of 7:54 min/mile. Notably, his performance improved significantly after the second mile, which saw an unexpected split time of 13:59 min/mile, the longest of the race. He quickly adapted, managing to recover and consistently run sub-8-minute miles thereafter. Throughout the race, Andres demonstrated resilience, moving up in the ranks and finishing 435th in his gender, 77th in his division, and 527th overall out of 4,421 participants. His best mile split was a swift 7:16 min/mile in the final mile. Maintaining a steady pace from mile 4 onward highlights his ability to regain momentum and maintain focus.
