Impressive Improvement in Pace and Strong Finish Ricky Garcia showed an impressive escalation in performance throughout the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. Starting with a conservative pace of 8:21 min/mile, he strategically blazed through the second mile with a 7:21 min/mile pace, dramatically improving his position to 9th overall and 1st in his age division. His fastest split was an incredible 2:19 min/mile, a standout effort that positioned him strongly in the race from the early stage. Ricky maintained an average pace of 5:41 min/mile over the 13.1-mile course, with a consistent string of sub-6-minute miles from miles 4 through 12. He finished with a total time of 1:14:35, placing 13th overall out of 4,421 participants. Consistency was key for Ricky, but there's an opportunity to sustain the pace he achieved during his strongest mile in upcoming races, which could further elevate his admirable performance.
