Consistent Start with Notable Mid-Race Fluctuations Michael Lin completed the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon in 2:30:48, averaging an 11:30 min/mile pace. He maintained a consistent start, posting a 9:52 min/mile pace for the first mile. Notably, his fastest split was mile 3 with a 4:07 min/mile pace, indicating a strong surge. However, this was followed by variability during miles 6 and 7 where his pace slowed to 11:10 and 15:04 min/mile, respectively. Despite the variability, Michael finished within the top half of participants. From analyzing the splits, it can be observed that there is room to maintain a more consistent pace in the later stages of the race. Continued focus on pacing strategy may enhance performance as Michael progresses through his running journey. Representing Poole Running Lab, he secured 415th place in the Male 25-29 division, with an overall placement of 3175 out of 4421 runners.
