Strong Finish Increasing Performance as the Race Progressed Stephen Knoth completed the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon in 1:30:00, maintaining an average pace of 6:52 min/mile. A noteworthy achievement was the improvement toward the end of the race, especially the last three miles where pacing was notably consistent, with a strong finish at a 6:47 min/mile for the final split. His overall placement was 125th out of 4421 participants, significant given the field size. In his division (M35-39), Stephen finished 20th. Stephen started strong with a consistent early pace, recording 6:54 min/mile at mile one. Notably, he improved his overall standing in mile nine, moving to a faster pace of 6:51 min/mile before accelerating to a 6:33 min/mile at mile ten. Maintaining consistent progress and improving splits towards the latter part of the race points to a strong endurance base. Continued focus on pacing strategy could yield even more improvement.
