Consistent Improvement with Strong Finish Cam Troike maintained a steady and impressive performance throughout the race, progressively enhancing speed and position with each mile. From a start of 8:50 min/mile, he accelerated to a 7:25 min/mile pace by the end. This consistent improvement reflects an effective strategy, and his third-mile split of 6:33 min/mile significantly boosted his rank, propelling him from 807th to 321st overall. Notably, from mile 2 to mile 3, Cam reduced his pace drastically and maintained this improved pace for the rest of the race. Finishing with a total time of 1:37:08, Cam earned the 285th place overall, out of 4,421 participants, placing him in the top 7% overall. In his division (M25-29), he secured 45th place. Cam's ability to accelerate during crucial race segments, such as the 9th mile where he clocked a swift 7:03 min/mile, was key to his final placement. A focus on maintaining or gradually increasing the pace earlier could enhance future race outcomes further.
