Consistent Pace with Improvements Over Distance Elisa Majors, a 43-year-old from Portland, OR, represented the University of Portland team at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. She completed the 13.1-mile course in 2:13:00 with an average pace of 10:09 min/mile. Notably, Elisa maintained a consistent pace throughout most of the race. Her first mile started at 9:47, and she quickly adjusted to an 8:08 pace by mile 4, which showcased her ability to run faster as the race progressed. Elisa finished 2396th overall out of 4421 participants, and placed 84th in her age division F40-44. Elisa experienced pace fluctuations, notably during miles 3 and 8, where her split pace shifted dramatically to 3:57 and 12:28, respectively. Miles 10 through 13 saw a return to a stable pace between 9:39 and 9:52 min/mile. A focused pacing strategy on uneven splits could help her performance consistency.
