Consistent Start and Strong Finish in Half Marathon Dylan began the race with an impressive opening split of 9:16 and quickly gained momentum, capturing a faster pace by the second mile at 8:53. Notably, he reached the third mile at an impressive 8:52. After a mid-race slowdown, particularly visible in the fourth and fifth miles (10:02 and 10:32, respectively), there appeared to be a strategic shift that steadily improved pace again towards the end of the race. Of particular note were two standout splits: an 8:04 at the tenth mile and a powerful 7:49 at the concluding split, indicating efficient energy reserve management and a strong finishing kick. Finishing the half marathon with an overall time of 1:59:03 and an average pace of 9:05 min/mile, Dylan ranked in the top 36% of all participants. Congratulations on this performance, and consider maintaining those mid-race paces to enhance overall results. Great work representing Poole Running Lab!
