Consistent Performance With Notable Improvements Diogo's splits exhibited a commendable consistency throughout the 13.1-mile half marathon, finishing in 2:22:26 at an average pace of 10:52 min/mile. Starting strong, Diogo improved his division placement in the crucial middle miles. Noteworthy is his mile 4 split of 10:22, which boosted his division ranking to 270 from 196. Slight pace declines in miles 7 and 8 were countered by a significant effort towards the end, with notable pace improvements seen in mile 10, achieving a split pace of 10:36. Throughout the race, Diogo maintained a steady strategy that helped him finish solidly in his age division. Continuing to work on pacing consistently in mid-course could further enhance his overall performance. Diogos experience with the Poole Running Lab will undoubtedly support him as he refines his pacing strategy for future races.
