Steady Improvement Throughout the Race Connor Sweeney completed the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest 5K with a final time of 32:39, achieving an overall average pace of 10:31 min/mile. Representing Rose City Track Club, Connor demonstrated an impressive improvement over the course, dropping his pace by over a minute from the first mile to the third. He began at an 11:04 min/mile pace, ranking 1414th overall. By the second mile, he picked up the pace to 10:51 min/mile further to an impressive 9:50 min/mile in the third mile. This improved his overall race placement to 2171, with a gender placement of 1295 and division (M30-34) placement of 234th out of 6521 participants. A key highlight was his performance in the third mile, suggesting increased stamina and speed, which could be capitalized on with earlier race acceleration. Great work on that consistent improvement!
