Impressive Comeback with Increased Speed Nyah Songster from Beaverton, OR, ran in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest, placing 15th in her division F20-24 over a 5K distance. Beginning cautiously with a 12:06 min/mile pace in the first mile, she held 147th place in her division. Her performance significantly improved in the second mile, recording a remarkable 4:35 min/mile pace, advancing her to 10th place in her division. An admirable improvement in this segment contributed to an overall race time of 25:39. Songster completed the event with an average pace of 8:16 min/mile. In the final mile, her consistent pace of 8:13 min/mile was key for maintaining her strong finish. She placed 96th among 3,145 female participants and 485th overall out of 6,521 participants.
