Steady Improvement and Strategic Recovery Nick Finseth from Gladstone, OR, demonstrated a nuanced performance at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. His final time of 2:07:13 reflects a strategic approach throughout the 13.1 miles. Notably, Nick began with a consistent 10:11 min/mile pace for the first mile, and quickly gained momentum in the third mile, clocking a split pace of 6:51 min/mile, an outstanding improvement. Mid-race, some fluctuations in pace were observed, especially during the 8th mile, where his pace slowed to 12:09 min/mile. Recovery was evident in the 10th and 12th miles, where Nick regained a consistent pace of around 9:08 min/mile. Placing 303rd in his division (M25-29), Nick exemplified resilience and a strong finish, rounding off with a final 9:19 min/mile pace.
