Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish Whitaker Jamieson showcased a steady pace throughout the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon, ultimately achieving an official time of 1:45:30 with an average pace of 8:03 min/mile. Impressively, he maintained a consistent improvement, reflected in his negative split strategy. After starting with an 8:40 min/mile in the first mile, he accelerated to a 6:58 min/mile in the final mile. Progression in placement was notable, where Whitaker moved up significantly, especially in the later miles. He started at 645th overall and improved to 634th by the finish, showing excellent pacing strategy with a significant surge between mile 9 and 107:36 min/mile and 6:54 min/mile, respectively. This strategy helped him secure a top-third finish in his division (M30-34) with 127th out of 4421 participants overall. To continue improving, focusing on consistent speed across all splits will be key.
