Consistent Pacing with Strong Finish Jason Chu demonstrated a solid performance at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon, maintaining a consistent pace and finishing with an overall time of 1:57:29. Notably, after an initial pace of 9:18 min/mile in the first mile, he managed to gradually improve his pace, dipping under 9 minutes per mile consistently for multiple splits from miles 2 to 5. His fastest pace was recorded in mile 10, clocking in at an impressive 7:55 min/mile. His overall average pace during the race was 8:58 min/mile, illustrating strong endurance. Despite facing a slight slowdown in miles 6 to 8, where his pace varied, Jason finished strong with a noticeable pick-up in speed, particularly evident in the last few miles. Placing 105th in the M40-44 division, there is potential for improvement in sustaining the quicker paces achieved towards the end of the race. Well done to the team "Every Wednesday!" as well.
