Consistent Pacing Leads to a Strong Finish Kamal Thomas demonstrated a solid performance in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon with an overall time of 1:49:06, pacing at an impressive average of 8:19 min/mile. Kamal initially started at a moderate pace in mile one with a time of 8:59. The second mile marked a significant improvement as he picked up speed to an 8:20 min/mile pace, a trend that continued with only minor fluctuations throughout the race. Notably, Kamal's strongest mile was his final one, completing it in just 7:22 and securing an overall place of 832 out of 4,421 participants. His consistent pacing strategy saw remarkable movement in his position, climbing from lower standings at the start (993rd place at mile one) to an admirable final position in his division (159th in M30-34).
