Impressive Mid-Race Acceleration Staci Hanna participated in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest 5K, starting with a moderate pace, with the first mile being completed in 16:03 minutes. This initial split placed her 4021st overall, 2231st in her gender, and 252nd in her division. However, Staci demonstrated significant improvement in her second mile, cutting her split pace dramatically to 6:04 min/mile. This strategic acceleration improved her overall position to 1508th and propelled her gender and division placements to 642nd and 56th, respectively. Although she experienced a slower third mile with a pace of 11:14 min/mile, her overall race performance was commendable. She completed the 5K with a final time of 34:23, achieving an average pace of 11:05 min/mile. Notably, Staci performed well in the F40-44 division, placing 109th out of all participants. Future races could benefit from sustaining the early pace gains throughout until the finish. Keep the momentum going, Staci!
