Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Matthew maintained an impressive start to his race with the first mile clocking in at 7:43 min/mile, quickly improving his pace in the subsequent miles, holding a steady pace of around 7:41 through miles 2 to 5. Notably, there was a slight increase in time during miles 6 and 7, with times of 8:09 and 7:59 min/mile, respectively. As the race progressed, he successfully increased his pace in miles 9 to 13, achieving his fastest split of 7:00 min/mile in the final mile. Overall, Matthew completed the Shamrock Run Fest in 1:39:41 with an average pace of 7:36 min/mile. He placed 320th among male participants and 61st in his division, M25-29. Being part of the LepreKAIuns team, his performance amidst the 4421 participants highlights his consistent pacing and finishing strength. Looking ahead, maintaining steady pacing in the middle sections will benefit future races.
