Strong Finish with Steady Pacing Gena Carter displayed consistent splits throughout the "2026 Shamrock Run Fest" half marathon. She began with an impressive 8:25 min/mile pace and improved to her best split time of 7:49 min/mile in two separate miles, indicating a strong finish. Her overall elapsed time for the half marathon was 1:49:29, with an average pace of 8:21 min/mile. Throughout the race, Gena maintained a commendable position, with slight fluctuations in her placement, ultimately finishing 174th among females and 33rd in her division. Gena's steady improvement from mile 1 to mile 13 reveals strategic pacing. She encountered slower splits at miles 6 and 7, but her recovery in the latter miles, especially her remarkable splits in miles 10 and 12, shows resilience. Working on peak pacing at the mid-race might enhance even pacing throughout. Acknowledging the support of "Team Orangetheory" could be an excellent motivator in future races. Overall, Gena's performance showcases excellent potential.
