Impressive Mid-Race Surge Powers Strong Finish Caleigh Feeny demonstrated a noteworthy progression throughout the 5K distance at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest. Starting with a first mile at a 9:33 pace, she quickly found her rhythm, improving her splits steadily. By the second mile, Caleigh shaved off a significant amount of time, running at an 8:24 pace, which was pivotal in elevating her overall rank position. Her final mile saw an even stronger acceleration with a split pace of 7:51. Ultimately, Caleigh crossed the finish line with an overall pace of 8:34 per mile. She placed 134th in gender and 23rd in her age division out of a substantial field of participants. Her ability to progressively improve her pace during the race suggests excellent endurance and race strategy. Focusing on maintaining the momentum from the third mile earlier in the race could be beneficial in future endeavors.
