Although the initial split caused a dip in overall and division placements to 1286 and 199 respectively, his pace consistency across the latter part helped him finish 243rd in his division. Notably strong splits were observed in miles 5, 11, and the concluding mile 13, where he maintained sub 9:00 min/mile paces, with his fastest mile being split 10 at 8:35 min/mile.
