Impressive Division Finish with Strong Mid-Race Pace Mariko Tokoyoda performed admirably at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest presented by Toyota. Her overall time of 21:45 for the 5K resulted in a remarkable third place in her F45-49 division amid stiff competition. Her initial mile was completed in 14:17, placing her second in the division. The split of 1:04 for her second mile highlights an interesting recording error, which should be noted for future race analysis. The third mile, clocked at 5:45, displays a commendable pace. Overall, Mariko finished 26th in the female category out of numerous participants, confirming her competitive edge. Throughout the race, she displayed excellent pacing, particularly in the later stages, maintaining a solid 7:01 min/mile for the 5K. Keeping splits consistent will further improve her placing and performance in future races. Her representation of the Poole Running Lab team was both strong and commendable.
