Consistent Mid-Race Recovery Enhances Performance Jonathan Ward-Adams demonstrated impressive endurance in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. With an overall time of 1:47:09 and an average pace of 8:10 min/mile, he maintained a strong position, placing 142nd in the M30-34 division. The initial mile clocked in at a swift 7:52 pace, indicating a strong start. While the second mile saw a significant drop to a 9:51 pace, Jonathan made an impressive recovery in the third mile with a split of 6:12, his fastest during the race. During miles four through seven, Jonathan maintained a steady pace, averaging between 7:47 and 8:27. Despite a slight slowdown in mile eight to 9:36, Jonathan finished strongly with splits consistently under 8:14 for the remaining miles. Notably, the final mile was completed in 8:23.
