Consistent Early Pace with Opportunities for Sustained Effort Samuel Vicente from Portland, OR, finished the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest 5K with a total time of 22:48, maintaining an average pace of 7:21 min/mile. His first mile was impressively quick with a 6:59 split, ranking him 17th in his M25-29 division. This strong start placed him 124th overall out of 6521 participants. In the subsequent miles, the split times showed a gradual increase, with the second mile at 7:25 and the third at 7:38. Although this resulted in a drop to 27th in his division, his early pace set a solid foundation. To enhance performance, working on maintaining a steadier pace during the latter half of the race could prove beneficial. Ending as part of the Raza Runners team, continued focus on pacing strategy and maintaining speed in the later stages could see improved consistency in future events.
