Consistent Effort with Room for Pace Optimization Kristin completed the 5K race with a total time of 42:22, maintaining an overall pace of 13:40 min/mile. Her race started with a solid first mile recorded at 12:42 min/mile, but each subsequent mile showed a decline in pace with the second at 14:31 min/mile and the third at 14:07 min/mile. Despite the changes in her splits, Kristin showed consistent effort throughout by finishing in the top half of her division at 315th out of all female participants in her age group (F35-39). Her placement demonstrated commitment; however, the gradual slowing suggests a potential focus on even pacing could be beneficial. Considering the split times, aiming to maintain a more consistent pace could help improve overall time. Continuing to train with the Bowerman Track Club could provide additional support and opportunities to refine her pacing strategy. Keep up the determination and continue to build on this performance!
