Consistency in Pace and Finishing Strong Kris Huapeo from Salem, OR participated in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest 5K Run as part of the Fast-ish & Furious team. His overall elapsed time was 35:31, maintaining a consistent pace of 11:27 min/mile across the race. Starting with an 11:05 min/mile in the first mile, Kris' pace slightly decreased but remained steady, finishing with an 11:47 min/mile pace in the third mile. His progress through each split showed a small increase in his elapsed pace over the course of the race. Kris finished 2979th out of 6521 participants overall, and placed 282nd in his M25-29 age division. He was 1597th among male competitors. Although his rank shifted throughout the course, he maintained a consistent pace. Kris could consider focusing on strategies to improve mid-race pacing to maintain early mile speed. His participation and consistency are commendable aspects to build on for future races.
