Throughout the race, Zach maintained a consistent pace, starting with a solid 5:25 min/mile in the first mile and adjusting efficiently in subsequent splits. The race saw Zach improve his position steadily. His 4th split was particularly impressive, clocking a 5:20 min/mile.
