Strong Finish with Consistent Improvement Edward Guo displayed an impressive performance at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. Starting the race with a pace of 9:21 min/mile for the first mile, Edward quickly picked up momentum. Notably, he achieved his fastest mile on his third split at 7:25 min/mile, which greatly improved his ranking from 1195th to 723rd overall at that stage. Throughout the race, Edward maintained a steady improvement in pace, with his average pace settling at 8:29 min/mile by the end of the race. He finished with a total time of 1:51:17. His consistent pacing across the latter miles contributed to an overall placement of 968th and division placement of 151st out of 4421 participants. Joining Team LepreKAIuns, Edward exemplified strategic pacing and endurance. Future efforts might focus on maintaining that early third-mile pace longer, which could further enhance overall performance.
