Consistent Start with Strategic Finish Gerardo Gomez maintained a consistent pace through the initial phases of the race, setting a solid foundation with splits between 8:06 and 8:13 minutes per mile in the first half. His best split was recorded in the second mile at 8:03 pace, showing an early focus. By mile 5, despite a slight drop with an 8:16 mile at mile 6, he managed a steady pace under 8:10 for the majority of this early section. The latter portion proved challenging, with splits slowing to 10:32 by mile 8. However, Gerardo effectively picked up pace in the final miles, clocking 8:21 and 8:10 for the last two miles, respectively. His final time of 1:54:06, averaging an 8:42 pace, reflects an impressive balance of strategy and performance. Focusing on maintaining the faster pace seen during the race's early miles could further enhance future results. Well done, Gerardo!
