Consistent Effort and Strong Finish Cy Keating maintained a commendable pace throughout the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest, with an overall elapsed time of 29:09 for the 5K distance. His average pace was 9:24 min/mile, showing a consistent performance across the race. Notably, his first mile was completed at a 9:11 min/mile pace, which slightly adjusted to 9:32 and 9:33 min/mile in the subsequent miles. This indicates a tendency to maintain steady paces even as the race progressed. In the male under 15 division, Cy placed 98th, with a total of 1159th overall out of 6521 participants. Despite the slight deceleration in the splits after the first mile, Cy finished strong. It might be beneficial to work on sustaining the early pace in future races.
