Strong Finish with Consistent Pace Improvement Marcie Berzinskas, representing Women Run PDX, showcased a commendable performance at the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. Starting with an initial one-mile split time of 10:39, she maintained a steady pace throughout the race. There was a noticeable fluctuation in pace, especially at mile 8 with a slower 13:42 split, followed by a strong recovery to a 10:17 pace by mile 10. Her ability to adjust and push for faster split times towards the latter part of the race illustrates her resilience and pacing strategy. Concluding the half marathon with a total time of 2:24:21 and an average pace of 11:01 min/mile, Marcie secured the 150th place in the F35-39 division among her peers. Her performance also placed her 1064th in the female category out of 4421 total participants. The late-stage improvement indicates potential for further strong finishes. Continuing to refine her pace consistency and focusing on endurance through the middle miles could further enhance her next race results.
