Consistent Improvement Throughout the Race Joshua kicked off the race with a steady pace, clocking 9:31 min/mile in the first mile. As the race progressed, he showed marked improvement in his pacing strategy, significantly dropping his pace to 7:29 min/mile by mile 12 and further to 7:25 min/mile by mile 13. Throughout the race, Joshua's overall time was 1:53:52, averaging an 8:41 min/mile pace in the Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon. While Joshua's earlier splits were initially consistent, his pace picked up substantially in the latter half of the race. Notably, from mile 9 onwards, he managed to maintain sub-8:00 min/mile paces. Particularly impressive was his final sprint to the finish, showing a competitive edge in the overall event and his division. To further improve, Joshua might consider finding a steady rhythm earlier in the run to enhance pacing consistency. Solid work from Joshua and the Bend Over Run Club team!
