Consistent Effort with a Strong Start Laurel Federspiel completed the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest 5K with an overall time of 22:27. She maintained an impressive average pace of 7:14 min/mile. Among the 6521 participants, Laurel placed 187th overall, and notably, she was 4th in the Female Under 15 Division run. Laurel started strong, clocking her first mile at 7:07 min/mile, placing her 3rd in her age division. Her consistent pacing is commendable, with her second mile at 7:19 and the third at 7:20 min/mile. While there was a slight pace decrease over the race, maintaining under a 7:20 min/mile for all splits shows solid effort. Maintaining this consistency till the end would enhance overall performance. Keep building on this and aim to sustain your initial pace throughout the race. Great job representing Evergreen Run Club PDX!
