Consistent Pace With a Strong Finish Alec Westbrook maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest. He started with a 10:17 min/mile for the first mile, an area to potentially tweak for a quicker start next time. As he progressed, Alec improved with each passing mile, clocking a 9:38 min/mile split for the second mile and an impressive 8:56 min/mile for the third. Overall, Alec completed the 5K in 29:39, with an average pace of 9:33 min/mile. He placed 1280th overall out of 6521 participants, and secured the 886th position among male runners, with a division placement of 161st in the M25-29 category. Encouragingly, Alec's acceleration as he neared the finish reveals his energetic capacity across sections of the race. As a member of the "Out Of Office Running Dept.," Alec has room to refine his start, poised for further gains in future races.
