Consistent Early Pace and Strong Finish Paul Kress maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon, finishing with an overall time of 1:18:35. His average pace was 5:59 min/mile, indicating a steady performance. Notably, his fastest mile was the 12th, clocked at 5:34 min/mile, which helped him improve his placement. Paul did well in his division, finishing 7th in the M25-29 age group. During the early stages, Paul maintained a strong pace between 5:52 and 5:59 min/mile through the first four miles. Although there was a slowdown from miles 6 to 8, where his splits reached up to 6:49 min/mile, Paul executed a remarkable recovery with a strong push in the final miles, particularly from mile 9 onwards. Maintaining a well-paced start and demonstrating resilience in the latter stages of the race are key strengths to build on for future races.
