Consistent Performance with a Strong Mid-Race Surge Amanda Schubert completed the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest Half Marathon with impressive consistency, securing a spot in her division's top tier. Her overall time was 1:53:23, showcasing an average pace of 8:39 per mile. Notably, Amanda made a remarkable surge between miles two and three, clocking a 6:10 mile, which improved her division position to first. Although her pace slightly varied in the latter half of the race, she managed to maintain her position, ultimately finishing third in the F15-19 division. Analyzing the splits offers valuable insights. Amanda should be commended for her ability to maintain a sub-9-minute pace throughout the event. There is potential to explore pacing strategies that could enhance the final splits. Specifically, focusing on miles eight to eleven, where pacing ranged from 8:29 to 8:37, may help in sustaining the momentum built early on. Well done on representing the On Run Club in Portland, OR!
