Consistent Improvement with a Strong Finish Sam Roth from Hillsboro, OR demonstrated strong pacing in the 2026 Shamrock Run Fest 5K. Starting with a steady pace, Sam's first-mile split was recorded at 10:52. Sam quickly gained momentum in the second mile, bringing the split time down to 10:17. The most notable performance was recorded in the third mile with an impressive 9:02 split, effectively improving overall pace to 10:00 min/mile. Throughout the 5K, Sam advanced within the ranks, finishing 1670th overall among 6521 participants. Particularly noteworthy is Sam's ability to adjust and quicken pace in later segments, as observed with the substantial jump in placement from 1619th at the first mile to 1249th by the second.
